Little Giants is a family sports comedy film directed by Duwayne Dunham. The movie centers on a small-town rivalry between two brothers,
Danny O’Shea (played by Rick Moranis) and Kevin O’Shea (played by Ed O’Neill), who have very different personalities. Kevin is a former football star and the town hero, while Danny is the underdog who has always lived in his brother’s shadow.
The story begins when Kevin coaches a peewee football team and cuts Danny’s daughter, Becky (a.k.a. Icebox), along with several other children who aren’t seen as athletic enough. Determined to give the rejected kids a chance, Danny forms his own team, the “Little Giants,” to challenge his brother’s squad, the “Cowboys,” in a winner-takes-all football game.
Throughout the film, the underdog team of misfits learns to work together, and despite their lack of skill and experience, they show heart and determination.
The movie delivers classic family-friendly humor, touching moments, and an inspiring message about believing in oneself and the power of teamwork.
Little Giants has become a nostalgic favorite for its 90s charm and lovable characters, making it a fun and uplifting movie for all ages.
