“The Grinch,” based on Dr. Seuss’s classic holiday story, follows the titular character,

a bitter and reclusive creature who despises Christmas and the cheerful Whos of Whoville.

Determined to ruin their festive celebrations, he devises a plan to steal Christmas by disguising himself as Santa Claus and stealing the Whos’ decorations, gifts, and food.

As the story unfolds, the Grinch encounters a young Who named Cindy Lou Who, whose kindness and holiday spirit begin to change his heart.

Ultimately, the film conveys themes of redemption, the true meaning of Christmas, and the idea that the holiday spirit comes from within.

Various adaptations of the story exist, including animated versions and a live-action film starring Jim Carrey.
