Damien Leone Confirms ‘Terrifier 4’ Is in the Works

Although Terrifier 3 was recently released, Damien Leone, the director and creator of the series, has already announced that Terrifier 4 is in the works. This news has excited the cast, who are eager to take part in the next chapter and have high hopes for what’s to come.

The Terrifier series started with a small but dedicated fan base after the release of the first movie. However, it became widely popular in the horror genre after Terrifier 2. The second movie surprised everyone by earning $15 million at the box office, despite having a modest budget of only $250,000, a fraction of what it made.

Terrifier 3 Sets the Stage for a Thrilling Terrifier 4

Damien Leone’s gory slasher Terrifier 3 took the intense conflict between Art the Clown and his rival Sienna Shaw to even darker depths. The film ended on a suspenseful cliffhanger, leaving fans eager for the next chapter to continue their intense saga. After Art and his follower Victoria Heyes wreak havoc throughout the movie, the climax builds to another brutal showdown between Art and Sienna. This final battle includes the shocking death of a major character and a chilling ending—both literally and figuratively—that hints at the future paths of both characters.

While Terrifier 3 delivered plenty of gruesome kills, it felt inevitable that both Art and Sienna would make it through the movie alive. The ending wasn’t designed to provide closure but instead seemed to set up the first half of a larger two-part story. With Terrifier 3 achieving high audience scores on Rotten Tomatoes and performing well at the domestic box office, it’s no surprise that Terrifier 4 is now eagerly anticipated. Fans are already buzzing with theories about how the next film will address the dramatic cliffhanger and continue this gripping horror tale.

How Terrifier 3’s Cliffhanger Paves the Way for Terrifier 4

Damien Leone, the writer, director, and editor of Terrifier 3, revealed how the film’s suspenseful conclusion sets up Terrifier 4. The movie ends with Sienna defeating Vicky using her sword but only managing to injure Art the Clown. Meanwhile, Vicky’s deteriorating blood causes a portal to Hell to open, adding a supernatural twist to the story. Unlike Terrifier 2, which extended its narrative through a post-credits scene, Terrifier 3 wraps up with a gripping cliffhanger.

In the finale, Sienna fails to save Gabbie from falling into Hell, while Art escapes—apparently stripped of his powers. This unresolved tension leaves fans eagerly anticipating the next chapter.

Leone explained that Terrifier 3 expands the franchise’s scope, introducing supernatural elements like heaven, hell, and mystical themes. According to Leone, these additions “raise the stakes” for Sienna in the next movie. He hinted that Terrifier 4 will involve Sienna entering Hell to rescue Gabbie, pushing her journey to new and dangerous dimensions.

By choosing not to include a post-credits scene, Leone wanted to give Sienna and Jonathan a brief moment to celebrate their hard-fought victory. However, the ending still teases Art the Clown’s return, leaving the door wide open for the story to continue.

Leone shared his thoughts on what’s next:

“I think now she has to figure out a way to rescue Gabbie. And what bigger stakes than to actually put Sienna into Hell? [There’s no post-credits scene because] I just wanted to give Sienna and Jonathan that moment to breathe and revel in victory for a moment, instead of just going right into, ‘All right, they just killed Art the Clown, and now he’s immediately rebirthed back.’”

Sienna’s Mission To Save Gabbie Could Take Terrifier 4 To Hell

Terrifier 4 will continue Sienna’s journey to finally defeat Art the Clown, picking up right where Terrifier 3 left off. By not including a post-credits scene, director Damien Leone made sure all the hints for the next film were woven into the brutal events of Terrifier 3. The film’s conclusion sets up the sequel, as Sienna is left to cope with the devastating loss of those she holds dear.
