Crazy Rich Asians 2025

The story continues in Crazy Rich Asians 2025, the highly anticipated sequel to the groundbreaking romantic comedy that captured hearts worldwide. This time, the story follows Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) and Nick Young (Henry Golding) as they navigate the next chapter of their lives—marriage, family, and the ever-complicated world of wealth and tradition.

Comparation with the old version:

After their fairy-tale wedding, Rachel and Nick return to Singapore to settle into their new life. However, their plans for a peaceful start are quickly derailed when Nick’s grandmother’s (Lisa Lu) health takes a turn, sparking a fierce family debate over the future of the Young family empire. As Rachel tries to support Nick through the turmoil, she finds herself drawn into a new whirlwind of drama when her estranged father unexpectedly reappears, bringing with him secrets that could change everything she thought she knew about her family.

Meanwhile, Astrid (Gemma Chan) is rebuilding her life after her divorce, but her budding romance with Charlie Wu (Harry Shum Jr.) faces challenges of its own, as their relationship becomes the subject of intense scrutiny from Singapore’s elite. And Peik Lin (Awkwafina) is back, this time with her own hilarious subplot as she attempts to infiltrate the world of high fashion, leading to laugh-out-loud moments and unexpected alliances.

With lavish parties, jaw-dropping locations, and a deeper dive into the lives of Singapore’s wealthiest families, Crazy Rich Asians 2025 promises to deliver the same mix of heart, humor, and opulence that made the original a global sensation. At its core, the film explores the universal themes of love, identity, and the complexities of family, proving once again that the only thing crazier than love is family.

The film features an all-star international cast, including returning favorites Constance Wu (Fresh Off the Boat), Henry Golding (Persuasion), Gemma Chan (Eternals), Awkwafina (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), and Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All At Once). Joining the cast are Harry Shum Jr. (Glee), Ronny Chieng (The Daily Show), and new additions Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), Sandra Oh (Killing Eve), and Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All At Once).

Produced by Color Force’s Nina Jacobson (The Hunger Games films) and Brad Simpson (World War Z), alongside SK Global’s John Penotti (Hell or High Water), the film is directed once again by Jon M. Chu (In the Heights). The screenplay is penned by Adele Lim and Kevin Kwan, based on Kwan’s bestselling Crazy Rich Asians trilogy.

The creative filmmaking team includes director of photography Vanja Černjul (The White Lotus), production designer Nelson Coates (In the Heights), costume designer Mary Vogt (Crazy Rich Asians), and editor Myron Kerstein (In the Heights). The music is composed by Brian Tyler (Fast & Furious franchise), with a soundtrack featuring a mix of classic hits and modern Asian artists.

Filmed on location in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Bali, Crazy Rich Asians 2025 is set to dazzle audiences with its stunning visuals and heartfelt storytelling.
