On April 26, 2022 the film was officially announced by Warner Brothers,
with Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Director Matt Reeves, and the crew from the first film set to return. Josh Hartnett and Joel Edgerton were rumored to play Harvey Dent/Two-Face.
Matt Reeves has set a multi year first look film deal with Warner Bros. while he is currently co-writing the script to this movie with Mattson Tomlin.
